How Carbon Fiber Caliper Covers Are Made!

Have you ever wondered how we make the Carbon Fiber Caliper Covers?  Don't try this at home kids... it will take too long!

Just thought I would share some cool pictures we have taken of the process of creating Carbon Fiber Brake Caliper Covers.  These covers actually take quadruple the work and the cost a lot more, but when they are done it sure does feel worth it... Hope you enjoy!

First, we lay the carbon fiber, being sure to keep it as straight as possible.  We then have to pull the cover from the mold, sand it, fill in any resin bubbles and then re-sand.  We do this over and over until we come up with a nice, smooth caliper cover with clear resin showing the beautiful pattern of Carbon Fiber cloth.

Next we tape the areas where Carbon Fiber is supposed to be and we paint.  Once the paint dries, we do another coat, and another. We then sand and apply clear coat!

Lastly the decals are put on and another layer of clear coat.  All of that work for what is shown in the next picture.
Totally worth it...
